My goal was to create a somewhat abstract image of a mountain peak in the Canadian Rockies using a combination of watercolour and acrylic paint. The work was begun on site in Waterton Lakes National Park but completed in my studio in Calgary. The process included traditional transparent watercolour and some opaque acrylic paint. It's a study in transparency, viscosity and luminosity.
