Tumbled Waves

This is a watercolour on paper that has been mounted on a cradled panel.

I painted it using cold wax medium as a resist for the white parts. After the first wash I added more wax on top of some of the painted areas, again as a resist.

When the painting was done, I scraped down the thicker layers of the wax and applied fresh wax to the top of the entire painting as a protective treatment.
