I am fascinated with cast shadows in spring looking straight down at the ground - spreading out from this central core in all directions. This large maple is in the middle of the abandoned Providence Chapel Burying Ground - a cemetery established in 1813 in Erin Township. The shadows cover branches broken down from a massive winter ice storm. I worked with watercolour, watercolour pencils, watercolour crayons, tinted-graphite and cut and folded the paper.
